About this event

"The Changing Face of Immigration" is the October 7th program for the League of Women Voters Aurora Area. The program will be held at the Santori Library in Aurora and will begin at 7:00 PM.

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, yearning to breathe free" comes from the sonnet written by Emma Lazarus and is inscribed on a plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty. Omar Salguero, a highly respected Immigration Attorney in the Chicago area, will look at how far our country has moved in the attitude toward immigration from when those stirring words were placed on the Statue of Liberty.

It is difficult to watch the news on any channel or look at any social media and not hear about the current state of immigration in our country.
You will not want to miss this timely program on October 7th at 7:00 PM.
